Access Ramps

While many residential care homes have the benefit of modern, purpose built properties designed to allow uninhibited access, others are located in older, converted buildings where practicality or planning restrictions prohibit the installation of permanent access ramps.

In these cases, or where access is only required temporarily or occasionally, EA Mobility offers a wide range of portable, demountable and permanent solutions.

Portable ramps

Quick and easy to deploy, our folding portable ramps are the lightest on the market yet have the highest strength-to-weight ratio. Manufactured in a range of sizes and configurations, they are fitted with safety hinges for pinch protection and clips that hold them together for compact storage.

In the care homes sector they are useful for providing access in low traffic areas, up steps and across thresholds, and in and out of vehicles, with a non-slip surface for excellent grip in all conditions.

Fitted ramps

Where a permanent ramp system is required without alteration of existing structures or groundwork, our fitted range is an attractive and extremely versatile option. This is particularly appropriate if planning restrictions prevent permanent alterations, or if the requirement is only semi-permanent.

Our fitted ramp systems comply with Doc M building regulations, and with four handrail colour options and anti-slip ramp coating, they are both attractive to look at and safe to use. They are also extremely durable, with a ten-year design life.

Modular

Where a permanent ramp system is required without alteration of existing structures or groundwork, our modular range is an attractive and extremely versatile option. This is particularly appropriate if planning restrictions prevent permanent alterations, or if the requirement is only semi-permanent.

Our totally modular ramp system complies with Doc M building regulations, while its modular design makes it cost efficient, easy to design and fast to install.

All our fitted ramps are designed around a modular system which ensures a fast turnaround on design and installation, with minimal disruption. CAD drawings can also be issued for architectural design, planning consent applications and building regulations approval.

In the event of change, the ramps can be reconfigured and reused, or removed to restore the buildings to their original appearance. This results in significant savings compared with the cost of buying entirely new ramps or that of carrying out remedial work.

With four handrail colour options and anti-slip ramp coating, our modular ramp system is extremely durable and offers a ten-year design life.

Bespoke

While our modular system is extremely versatile, there are times when the complexity of the location requires something extra. If this is the case, we can design and custom build a bespoke ramp system that is unique to your requirements.

As our bespoke ramps use components from the modular system, they can often be reconfigured to suit new requirements and when no longer needed, the building can be restored to its original state without expensive remedial work.

With our own surveying and installation teams handling the entire project, EA Mobility can give you peace of mind that your access ramps will meet regulations and provide safe, easy access for years to come.
