What is the difference between a wet room and low profile shower room?
The term wet room is used to describe a level access shower arrangement where the shower is all on the same level. You do not need to step over a tray when getting in or out of a wet room as they are on the same level as the bathroom floor.
Whereas, a low profile shower room is where a shower tray is fitted, thus creating a small step.
Does the entire floor of a wet room drain?
No, only the shower area drains. A sloped "former" is installed beneath the flooring in the shower zone to direct water towards the drain.
To ensure effective drainage and prevent water from escaping, we recommend installing the largest possible former to maximise drainage efficiency.
Can you have a wet room upstairs?
Yes, you can install a wet room upstairs, but it requires expert waterproofing (tanking) and proper drainage.
The floor must be reinforced to handle the extra weight of water and tiling, ensuring no leaks occur. Our professional team will assess the structure and apply the necessary waterproof membranes to protect the underlying floors.
Will I have a choice of furnishings and accessories?
