Small Bathroom? Big Comfort.

If you have limited space or struggle to lie down in a standard tub, a compact walk-in bath is the smart solution. Often called “deep soak” baths, these clever designs have a much smaller footprint than a traditional bathtub (typically just 1.2m long). You sit comfortably upright on an integrated, contoured seat, allowing the water to cover your shoulders for a truly relaxing, immersive soak.

At EA Mobility, we believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice comfort for accessibility. Our  compact sit-in tubs are designed to fit into tight corners, alcoves, or even replace a standard shower cubicle. Despite their small size, they offer easy low-level access and generous internal width, restoring your independence without cluttering your bathing bathroom or risking a fall.

FAQs

Answers to some of the questions we get asked most often. If you can’t see the answer you need here, have a look on our FAQs Page.

What is a "Deep Soak" bath?

A deep soak bath is a compact walk-in tub where you sit upright rather than lying flat. Because the seat is moulded into the bath, you sit comfortably submerged up to your shoulders, enjoying a full soak in a tub that is much shorter than a standard bath.

Will a compact bath fit in my small bathroom?

Almost certainly. Our compact models start from just 900mm in length (about half the size of a standard bath). They are designed to fit into the footprint of a shower cubicle or a small cloakroom.

Will I get cold while it fills?

No. We install thermostatic fast-fill taps that fill the tub rapidly. We also recommend our heated seat option, which keeps your back and thighs warm while the water rises and drains.

How low is the step-in?

Safety is our priority. The threshold is typically between 150mm and 230mm—significantly lower than a standard bath rim. This allows you to step in easily without losing your balance.

How long does installation take?

Because compact baths often fit into the existing bath or shower space, installation is quick. We can usually remove your old suite and install the new walk-in bath in just 2 to 3 days.

Can I have a shower as well?

Yes. Most of our compact models can be fitted with a mixer handset or a riser rail shower. This gives you the flexibility to have a quick wash or a long soak in the same unit.

Are the doors inward or outward opening?

We offer both. Inward-opening doors are great for very tight spaces as they don’t swing into the room. Outward-opening doors provide easier access for wheelchair users to transfer onto the seat.

Do I need a special boiler?

Usually, no. Although the bath looks deep, your body displaces a lot of water. The volume is similar to a standard bath. A standard combi-boiler or gravity system is typically sufficient.
