Gayton Front Access Walk-In Bath
The perfect fit for alcoves. Featuring a convenient front-facing door, the Gayton is designed for bathrooms where side access is restricted or impossible.
The Smart Solution for Alcoves
The Gayton Walk-In Bath solves one of the most difficult bathroom layout problems: the alcove. If your current bath is boxed in by three walls, or if a toilet blocks the side, a standard walk-in bath won’t work. The Gayton features a specific front-entry door, allowing you to step straight in from the end of the tub, bypassing side obstructions completely.
This clever configuration means you don’t need to remodel your bathroom to get accessible bathing. Despite the compact entry, the Gayton offers a spacious, deep soak experience with an integrated contoured seat. The outward-opening door provides clear, step-in access, making it the practical choice for narrow spaces and “galley-style” bathrooms.
Key Features
Front-Entry Door
The door is located on the front face (short end) of the bath. This allows for installation in tight corners or alcoves where side access is blocked by walls or sanitaryware.
Compact & Deep
Designed to fit into small spaces while offering maximum immersion. The upright seating position ensures the water covers your chest for a warm, therapeutic bathing experience.
Safety Latch System
The door is secured by a robust, easy-to-use lever latch. Positioned for accessible reach, it ensures a guaranteed watertight seal without requiring strong grip strength.
Customisable Options
Tailor your Gayton bath with these practical and therapeutic upgrades for maximum comfort.
-
Hydrotherapy Air Spa
A gentle air massage system that helps relieve tension in back and leg muscles, turning your compact bath into a relaxing health spa.
-
Thermostatic Mixers
Anti-scald taps that maintain a safe, constant temperature. Essential for preventing burns if cold water pressure drops elsewhere in the home.
-
Heated Seat & Backrest
Keeps the seat surface warm while the bath fills, ensuring you stay comfortable and relaxed from the moment you sit down.
-
Slip-Resistant Surfaces
We can add extra texturing to the seat and floor area to provide superior grip, giving you total confidence when stepping in from the front.
-
Shower Riser Kit
Convert the Gayton into a dual-purpose unit. We can install a mixer handset and riser rail so you can enjoy a seated shower as well as a soak.

Answers to some of the questions we get asked most often. If you can’t see the answer you need here, have a look on our FAQs Page.
What is the benefit of a front-entry door?
It allows you to install a walk-in bath in an “alcove” (between three walls) or next to a toilet, where a standard side door would be blocked and unusable.
Is it easy to get in and out?
Yes. The door opens outwards to clear the entry fully. We also typically install a grab rail next to the entrance to assist you as you step over the low threshold.
Can I choose which way the door opens?
Yes. During the survey, we determine whether a left-hand or right-hand hinge is best for your specific room layout to maximise access.
